Amazingly this is the 100th post on Value Investing, and a Few Cigar Butts.

My First Post was about was basically a list of the blogs I read and places I went for investing news. Origianlly the blog was started to help with a newsletter I intended to write for subscriptions.

I had been writing the newsletter for about one and a half years for people in my family and wanted to take it public and make some money with it. I quickly found more people wanted to edit it then subscribe to it, but I was fascinated with the amount of hits - only about 25 per day but I couldn't figure out which 25 people wanted to read my blog everyday - I was getting and the money I was making from Amazon Associates and decided to keep writing on the blog.

I kept posting news for a few more days, but the most interesting posts of that first month were of my Investment Philosophy, My Portfolio at the time and a write-up on Hurco (HURC). The Hurco post may be the most interesting as the stock more then doubled in a few months after I positively wrote about it, but I will be re-posting the Investment Philosophy and My Portfolio Articles and re-analyze what I wrote in them.
